The Path Of Gods

Details

This is probably the most famous footpath of the park. It is an old communication route, which was used for centuries by the local inhabitants to enable them to get to their arable lands, orchards and to get from Agerola to nearby Positano and vice versa.

The name of this path expresses all the wonders that you can admire when you pass through it, from a botanical and geological point of view, as it offers a spectacular view of the coast and the mountain landscapes from Positano to Capri.

Walking at about 500 metres above sea level, we find ourselves plunged in the Mediterranean maquis among rocky ridges and holm-oak woods.

The route is not tiring, and as a matter of fact, it is very evocative, with caves and deep inlets, which are unique in the world. The excursion starts in Agerola and ends in Nocelle, a hamlet of Positano. It lasts about 3 hours and is 7,8 kms long. The path is not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo.
